If one wants to apprehend the Kundalini Shakti (Cosmic or Serpentine Power), he has to learn first of all about the Shat-Chakras (6 Divine Plexus), the Merudanda (Spine), the Prana (Vital-breath) and the Nadis (Nerves/Chords) thoroughly.
Today, we will learn about the Shat-Chakras (6 Divine Plexus) and the Merudanda (Spine) . The Shat-Chakras are energy-centers which actually are placed within our spine, throat and skull; but are seen and experienced only by the perfect Sadhakas (devotees). They unblock them and attain several metaphysical powers through the grace of Satguru (True Preceptor) and perfect yoga.

A Yogi can wake up his hidden Kundalini Shakti (Cosmic Power or the Serpentine Force); which resides in the 'Mooladhara Chakra' (Root or Pelvic or Perennial Plexus); in the form of three and half circles glowing with a yellowish light. The Kundalini power is sleeping like a serpent around the Swayambhu Linga (Conus Medullaris) with its circles by catching its tail in its mouth.

Kundalini Shakti
(Cosmic or Serpentine Power)
When it awakens, it goes up to the 'Shasrara Chakra' (Cerebral or Brain Plexus) by travelling into the Sushumna Nadi (Spinal Chord). Chakras are in fact the different lotus profound by the different kind of cosmic energy.
There are Shat-Chakras (6 Plexus) in the spine of a human body:
1. Mooladhara Chakra (Root or Pelvic or Perennial Plexus): It is assumed to be between anus and the genital region. The element of Mooladhara chakra is the Earth. The color of this lotus or chakra is Rakta-Varna (red) and its face is downward. The Kundalini in the Mooladhara chakra is known as Prasupta Kundalini (sleeping or dormant serpentine force) because here it’s not awakened but remains to be quite passive. The yogis attain so many perfections and powers who concentrate on the Lord Ganesha in the Mooladhara chakra. They can remain to be ever-young and ever-delighted, become adept in the articulation of language and eloquence, have divine visions of gods, mystics and Siddhas, perfect-ones. The sins do not touch them.

2. Swadhishthana Chakra (Sacral or Hypogastric Plexus): In the spinal Chord behind the genital organ. The element of Swadhishthana chakra is the Water. The color of this lotus is Gahanrakta-Varna (deep red) and its face is upward. It is the place of Vishnu Granthi (‘Granthi’ a place where the three principal Nadis converge and form a knot). The siddhas who concentrate on the Lord Brahmma in this chakra they fearlessly walk on the earth and attain ‘Ashtamahasiddhis’ (the rarely found eight supreme metaphysical perfections), can interpret even the unheard scriptures and other deep subjects, keep away from diseases and untimely or fatal accidents.

3. Manipoora Chakra (Solar or Epigastric Plexus): In the spinal Chord behind navel. The element of Manipoora chakra is the ‘Fire’. The color of this lotus or chakra is Neel-Varna (blue) and its face is upward. The siddhas who concentrate on the Lord Vishnu, the god of protection, in Manipoora chakra they can enter in the body of others, see even through the walls, they can generate or destroy anything, whatever they say or utter that becomes true, become immune and go beyond the reach of grief, pain and all sufferings.

4. Anahata Chakra (Heart or Cardiac Plexus): In the spinal Chord behind heart. The element of Anahata chakra is the ‘Air’. The color of this lotus or chakra is Dhumra-Varna (Smoky, mixed black and red) and its face is upward. Jivatma, the embodied soul lives here in the Sushupti, deep sleep state. Its Khanda or section is Suryakhanda (Sun) and prakasha, light is Jyotira (glow of a flame). Only the know-er of this mystic chakra can be regarded as the master of yogis. He can control over one’s mind and the organs, can have the glimpse of God and the holy spirits, can attain all metaphysical powers, Siddhis (metaphysical powers) and poetic-eloquence, appetite and thirst cannot tell upon their nerves.
Generally, Sadhakas particularly of this plexus do not talk much but keep lost in deep meditation.
The chakra is so powerful, even the Lord Brahmma firmly keeps it secret.

5. Vishuddha Chakra (Throat or Carotid Plexus): Spinal Column near the roid. The element of Vishuddha chakra is the ‘space’. The color of this lotus or chakra is Dh-umravarna (black as smoke) and its face is upward. Jivatma, the embodied soul lives here in the Swapna, state of dreaming. The Kundalini lives as a sound form of Brahm in this chakra as the Anahadvak-roopini speech. The Anahad-shabda, unhurt word or the 'Soaham Hansah' regularly keeps on sounding day and night, called Anahad-vani. The yogi who concentrates on ‘Jivatma’ needs no other devotion or worship. He becomes Trikalagya (omniscient), long-lived, super conscious, unattached and stable-minded. He remains to be ever-blissful and pure. He reaches up to the waking state and attains extra-ordinary wisdom or power of discrimination.

6. Agya Chakra (Third-eye or Medulla Plexus): Behind the center of the eye-brows. It is called Trikuti (the point where Ida, Pingla, Sushumna-the three principal Nadis converge) which is called the ‘Yogic-heart’. The element of Agya chakra is the ‘Mahat’ (‘Mana’or mind) and ‘Mahat’ is the producer of ‘Ahamkara’ (ego or the sense of meum or ‘mam’). The colour of this lotus or chakra is Shaveta-Varna (white) and its face is upward. The disciples take commands and instructions from their Gurus in this chakra, that’s why it is called Agya chakra or the seat of the ‘Guru’. It is the organ of inner vision or clairvoyant powers; if a person becomes aware of some event or circumstance in the external world, of which no one else is cognizant, the faculty involved will be called 'Clairvoyance'. It is counted also as the seat of divine knowledge or spiritual light. Some thinkers call it the 'eye of Lord Siva'.

This chain of Shat-Chakras (6 Divine Plexus) ends on Shasraradalkamala Chakra (Crown or Cerebral or Brain Plexus) Which is situated in the middle of the head; via Brahmrandhara (Converging Point) or Dashamdwara (gate of Salvation). It is assumed in a shape of a fully blossomed Shavetkamala (White Lotus) with its 1000 petals.

The Shat-Chakras (6 Divine Plexus) are unblocked by the yogis in the spine of their body. Spine, throat and skull are the path-way of awakened Kundalini Shakti. Yogis try to keep it erect at the time of sadhana (practice) through certain yogic-postures like Padmasana (Lotus posture) and Siddhasana (Perfect posture) for attaining certain sort of Siddhis (Metaphysical powers) or Samadhi (the Trance).

I hope you must have learned something today about the Kundalini. We will discuss about the Prana or Vital-breath.
Have a nice day! until next time.
