"A dream which is not interpreted is like a letter which is not read". Every dream has a meaning. It is said in Vedas (Aitreya Arayanyaka)- ''Dreams are not useless and they are but the messengers of the coming events.''

All dreams are not dreams. Some are just the impressions of mind or the day-dreams. One should be very careful at the time of their interpretation; e.g., if one sees a piece of cloth running in water, means something will be lost soon. If one sees himself flying in the sky or a lotus being blossomed or the Sun is being rising, means the person will become prosperous soon. If one sees a flying swan or the full Moon, the person will progress spiritually.

Every human being has three bodies at a time: 1. Isthoola-sharira (Gross Body),

2. Kaaran-sharira (Casual Body), 3. Sukshma-sharira (Astral Body). We see dreams with our Astral Body.

And there are 3 Gunas (Attributes):

1. Satogun (Purity-Vishnu), 2. Rajogun (Laziness-Brahma), 3. Tamogun (Ignorance-Siva) of a human body. When Rajogun and Tamogun Gunas become equal, Gross Body becomes inactive like that of the dead.

Vishuddha Chakra (Carotid Plexus) is situated in the Spinal Column near the Hita-Nadi (a sensitive vein in the rod). And when Prana (vital air) reaches in Hita-Nadi , a dream begins.

There are four stages of a human body:

1. Jagrat (waking state) When one is awake, 2. Sushupti (sleeping state) When one is asleep, 3. Swapna (dreaming state) We see dreams in this third state. 4. Turiya (witness state) One becomes the witness to all three stages and sees everything silently. Only the perfect Yogis or great theologians enjoy this stage.

The day and night (24 hour's time) is divided into 4 Praharas (4 intervals of 3 hours) by Indian sages:

1. Pratham Prahara (First interval) - 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. The dream which occurs in the First interval of a night produces result within one year.

2. Dwitiya Prahara (Second interval) - 9.00 p.m. to midnight. The dream which occurs in the second interval of a night produces result within 6 months.

3. Tritiya Prahara (Third interval) - Midnight to 3.00 a.m. The dream which occurs in the Third interval of a night produces result within 1 month.

4. Chaturtha Prahara (Fourth interval) - 3.00a.m. to 6.00 a.m. The dream which occurs in the Fourth interval of a night or any dream which occurs at the Godhooli-Vela (time of Sun-set, when the flock of cows return to home) produces result on the same day; thus is recorded in the Vedic-scriptures.

Some dreams are very auspicious and bring good-luck. On the other hand, some of them are awful nightmares, which bring misfortune.

You should not disclose an auspicious dream to others, but you can tell about it to your Guru (Preceptor). Dreams warn us of the forthcoming events so that we could prepare ourselves to meet them firmly.

I hope you must have understood how the dreams occur and reveal the forthcoming events. Till next, have a nice day!
